About the Founder

Coco Francavilla is the founder of Ibiza Bloom Studio and the main in-house sound engineer and producer.

Coco is film-composer, music producer and ambient artist that explores contemplative and oneiric soundscapes.

Enchanted by sound synthesis, in her work she combines the use of synthesizers and sound manipulation mixing electronica and classical music, with an evocative and cinematic approach.

Her sultry vocals and electronic dreamlike compositions fascinated Massive Attack member Tricky, with whom she collaborated for several years as a singer and co-producer. He would referred to her as 'the female version of me’.

Born in Rome-Italy she has lived and developed her music journey between London, New York City, Los Angeles and Berlin until in 2016 she found her home in Ibiza.

She grew up inspired by the DYI punk-rock attitude of Dischord Records, experimental electronica and minimalist composers such as La Monte Young.

At young age she studied classical guitar at the Santa Cecilia conservatory of Rome.
She holds a bachelor degree in Architecture from the Westminster University of London and University La Sapienza of Rome, with a thesis in Acoustic Physics on the study of impulse response function (IRF) and the relationship between electrified music and architectural spaces.

Throughout her carrier she's been performing with many acts in prestigious festivals and venues around the world including Royal Festival Hall, Glastonbury, Mutek ,Sonar, Montreaux Jazz Festival among others.

In the mid 2000 she moves to Brooklyn where she founded Zerokilled Music - a record label and artist's collective - home of a sound that floats between electronic, contemporary-classical and experimental music specializing in compositions for film and visual media.

She produces and writes music for movie trailers and her credits include “Blade Runner 2049”, (starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford), “Counterpart”, (Starz TV Show with Oscar winner J.K. Simmons) “The Hunger Games”, “The Beguiled” (by Sofia Coppola) The Green Knight among others.

As a film composer her works include “Friedkin Uncut” (official selection at Venice Film Festival 2018) , a film about cult Hollywood director William Friedkin starring Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, Damiem Chazelle, and many more) ; “The End of Time” by visionary film-maker Peter Mettler (TIFF Selection - featuring music by Robert Henke and Richie Hawtin); “S is For Stanley” about Stanley Kubrick (winner at "Davide di Donatello") ; “Free Men” premiered at the International Festival of Human Rights; “Mi Chiamo Francesco Totti” - a film about the Italian soccer champion, winner of the prestigious Silver Ribbon & Davide di Donatello 2021.
Her music has been featured in several Netflix and US TV shows including cult series such as Emmy Awards winner CSI.

Her credits as a music producer / arranger and sound-engineer include collaborations with international acts across different genres - such as Swedish Techno artist Adam Beyer, pop British icon James Blunt, Italian cult singer-songwriter Niccolo Fabi and members of Brooklyn Afro-Punk TV ON THE RADIO scene No Surrender.

Since she moved in Ibiza she’s been exploring ways of vibroacoustic & sound-wave therapies that include the use of meditation instruments such as Tibetan Bowls, Chrystals, Hand Pans.
Her live ambient set includes such instruments combines with modular synthesizers guiding the audience into a dreamlike-state thru Binaural Beat stimulation in Theta Waves, EEG brain-wave frequencies associated with deep relaxation, meditation and creative awareness.

Her record label - Silent Frequencies - is the home of her new releases (Children of The Universe - 2019, Encoded Dreamers - 2019) and has the aim to promote experimental ambient works by female artists.

With her family she lives in the country-side of Ibiza where she founded IbizaBloomStudio - a recording studio/ film editing suite and artist residency
